"Did you ever hear one song on some obscure new music spot and say to yourself, "That is a really cool song!" And then, when you are buying about 15 CDs from the CD club (b/c you want to finish the darn obligation)and say, "What the heck, let's hear what these guys sound like." And then, a year later, after having over 600 CDs in your collection saying "This has got to be one of my favorite CDs of all time!"? Have you? Well, guess what? This is the band! Radiance is the CD! Why haven't those guys put out another CD? C'mon already! My recommendation...it's the best CD you'll never hear on the radio. If you like all those bands like Thirdeyeblind and Matchbox20 and the GinBlossoms then you'll love this group. It's all their without all the overplay you get with other "Modern Pop' groups."
Hooked on Athenaeum

"This was the album that demonstrated that Athenaeum could deliver top notch songs with both musical quality and lyrical genius. Each track on the CD demonstrates a great deal of depth in their talents. As I get older, the angst and issues so beautifully communicated through song are still relevant to life today."
Athenaeum is a great new band, well worth keeping an eye on.

"Athenaeum's newly-released "Radiance" has taken complete possession of my CD-player. I listened to "What I Didn't Know" about a zillion times when I first got the CD, and even better, the rest of the album is great too. Like many bands from the area, they're fresh and talented, but it's not hard to see or hear what makes Athenaeum different. Lead singer Mark Kano has an powerful and gripping voice, and the music and lyrics crafted by Mark and the band are full of feeling and emotion. Keep an eye on Athenaeum...they're definitely worth watching."

"I'm a sucker for for 90's college coffee house rock bands, and this CD definitly ranks up there with the best of them. What's interesting is that I cannot reallly compare this band to anyone else, maybe a softer Eve 6 but I doubt that is even approprite. Athenaeum is simply a good rock band. Pick the CD up and you will understand what I'm talking about."
