Album Description "Surprisingly gentle inflections combining low voices, ground-hugging mists of keyboards, genial electronic hucklebuck, and even acoustic guitar to create small vistas of delightful otherness." -- The Wire In Pink is the third ( r ) album. It took almost two years to finish, because Fabrizio Modonese Palumbo was very busy with Larsen and XXL, and because it came to life during troubled and sometimes painful times. Whereas previous album Under the Cables, Into the Wind was very warm and relaxed, In Pink is pretty extreme, swinging between joy and fear with introspective, moody songs and explosions of desperately optimistic energy. Still, it is more a diary than an exorcism, including Fabrizio Modonese Palumbo's versions of an Irish traditional theme (which Johnny Cash interpreted on one of his American albums) and Joy Division's classic "Atmosphere." Features contributions from Paul Beauchamp (Blind Cave Salamander, Steve McKay Band), Ango (Mariae Nascenti), il Bue (Larsen), and the amazing Baby Dee.
