Amidst the lightweight bands of the 80s, Assassin were rockers from the scene that produced Ratt, Rough Cutt and Jake E. Lee. Assassin was formed in San Diego, California during the summer of 1983 and recorded their debut album the following year. The strength of a self-released seven inch single earned the band opening slots for popular acts like Alcatraz, King Cobra, and Poison. The band broke up before a record label could release the entire Assassin album. Their seven inch picture sleeve single (Treason & All Your Love) is now very rare and almost impossible for collectors to find. Assassin were legendary at home, respected overseas and are now getting some long overdue attention with the first ever release of their 1984 self-titled album. This is a lost rock classic that now lays claim to it's rightful place in music history.
