"ASIAN KUNG-FU GENERATION is one of the best alternative/rock bands to come out of Japan. They're unique indie rock feel and soulful lyrics offer a breed of Japanese music that you can't find anywhere else. Unlike the typical "J-ROCK" band, Ajikan came up from the ranks of the Japanese indie rock scene and has established themselves as a musical powerhouse for J-Alternative music.
Sol-fa, their 2nd full album is a beautiful album with a mellow feel. It contains a lot of their hit singles including Loop and Loop, Siren, Rewrite (4th OP for Full Metal Alchemist for you anime geeks), and Kimi no Machi Made. This is one of their best albums so pick it up. I'm glad Tofu Records and Sony Music decided to bring this band over to the states. Listen and be hooked."

"Asian Kung-fu Generation (AKG, AKfG or Ajikan are common nicknames for this band) is one of the best bands in Japan right now. They have been recording songs for many years and have a strong following in both the US and Japan. Ajikan is my personal favorite band. Their Indie-rock sound and lyrics that hit the heart are what makes people so drawn to them. This CD is their best-selling full albumn yet (their other albumn being Kimi Tsunagi Five M or Kunkei Faibumu and a mini Albumn called Houkai Amplifer). With a new single called Blue Train planned for release November 30th, Ajikan is steadily making their way to the top! A great band to start with if you're not quite into Japanese Rock. They are fun and exciting. They can do a great dancing song as well as a pounding ballad that strikes your heart strings. They are such an Awesome Band! Remember folks, AKG is Love >w<

"i know many people learn about them from their opening song in fullmetal alchemist that played on cartoon network.
Ajikan is so much more than that. a great band with a fantastic following. i can't say enough about this band, but i wanted to stop by and give it 5 stars.
in japan, this cd sells for $25-$30. in america, it's half that or less. it's the best bargain you'll ever find.
their new album, fanclub, is even better. but, it's not out in the USA, you have to cough up the $27.50 for it. also a newer compilation of their singles and bsides is coming out in a few weeks, 10.25.06.
enjoy! kore wa hontou ni sugoi ongaku desu!"
A must have...

"I've been into AKG for a little while now and am glad to see them released in the US. I have the import of this CD but, the US release has the extra disc. I just might have to pick this up just for that. Any real music fan will enjoy this group. Give'm a try!"
