"I bought this album only because of the title, Chokecherry. Growing up in Montana where chokecherries grew in abundance, it was a spur of the moment purchase in the name of nostalgia. My lucky day though! It has become one of my favorite albums. Ms. Flynn has a rich, subtle voice that vibrates with layers of meaning and passion. The songs reflect this with a poetic depth far out of proportion to the subject matter. She has a rare and desperate talent, the kind that rarely manages to pierce the armor of an industry that tends to reward mediocrity. Ms. Flynn is a talented artist and this is remarkable album."
