"There are far too many reviews with five stars, but here I go doing the same thing, myself.Djangoesque groups are definitely not in short supply, these days, what with The Hot Club of San Francisco and Pearl Django (and many others, I'm sure). But this cd is rather different: just two guitars and bass. The musicianship is simple, refreshing, and daring; the material, intriguiging. "Caravan" alone is worth the price of the cd.The Robin Nolan Trio may be similar, but I haven't heard that group. This one impressed the heck out of me.You know how you buy a cd, play it a few times, and then stick it in the rack? This isn't one of those."

"If you like music, buy this album. You could not spend 17 dollars in a more responsible manor. From Marc Atkinson's melodic solos and impeccable guitar technique, to Joey Smith's rock solid bass grove, to Chris Fry swingin' (and I mean Swingin') rhythm guitar, You can not hear a better Jazz trio. Ken Flett's cover art is so beautiful you will not want to put the case away, and once you hear this CD you won't be able to take it out of the CD player, so there is no reason to put the case away. Atkinson's five original jazz tunes are truly great jazz both intricate and dynamic to excite the seasoned jazz fan and are melodic and beautiful for anyone to enjoy. If this CD does not bring tears to your eyes you are insane and should see a doctor. Atkinson's interpretation of Chopin's Waltz in A minor is an example of his mastery of the acoustic guitar; and Dunamis, one of Atkinson's originals, well, it just swings. You can lose with this album. Buy the Marc Atkinson Trio today"
