"If you want Bach respected, uniquely sounded, and dynamically presented, this is the CD for you. This recording is a blend of Bach articulated with imagination and ultimate respect for the Baroque and Bach fresh and new to the 21st century. The questions I always ask of original presentations such as this are: would the composer approve? Does this trio capture the spirit a student of Bach would expect of a new recording of a wonderful, old work? Is this recording worth the listener's time? Without qualification, the answer is "yes." Prepare yourself for an "a priori" listening exerience. Don't try to drive, dust, or read when you listen to this one--at least the first three times. Give it your undivided attention--as though at a live perfomance. I promise you won't be disappointed."
Indeed!

"This is one of the most unique renderings of Bach's masterpiece I have ever heard. The tempo is brisk and a welcome change from some of the more dour recordings of this I have heard in the past. The oboe, bassoon and yes, the accordian, work quite well together. Highly recommended."
