Synopsis

Product Description
An eclectic, spastic and aggressive mix of prog and punk rock, ARMS EXPLODING throw down an intensity and musicality all their own. The technical elements of their song writing prove their confidence as individual musicians and as a complete unit. But this isn t mathrock. These guys don t just play for the sake of showing off their chops. The emotional and experimental side of the band proves that this is music made by real people that care about what they re saying. While comparisons to The Refused, The Mars Volta or Genesis with Peter Gabriel may be valid, Arms Exploding is unaffected and their sound has never been the result of any singular influence. Each of the band s five members bring something unique to the table which catapults them well beyond the status quo or any trends. The members of Arms Exploding began playing together in the Summer of 2006. Their fluid chemistry with each other was apparent from the start (perhaps the result of friendships spanning a decade). These ex-members of the Cincinnati-based touring-bands East Arcadia and Based In Theory have come together and proved their readiness. And after two years of meticulous song writing and smoothing out their compositions in front of live audiences in the MidWest, the band is proud to release its debut full-length entitled Ruminari the Latin root for the word ruminate, which means to go over repeatedly.
