"Arik Einstein is an Israeli legend. He has been one of the major male vocal stars in Israel for over three days. Einstein sings in many different ways, and one of his special qualities is his sense of humor. He also writes songs, and has written some of very high quality.

Einstein is one of those singers who most Israelis feel represents them, the national experience.

My sense is that to really appreciate him you have to know Hebrew.

But the music can be enjoyed regardless. It can be lyrical, tender, at times ironic and humorous, and also as the title of this album suggests filled with nostalgia."
