"ARCHIE SHEPP MONTREUX ONE is by far one of the best jazz records in history. It's Shepp at his best with that big, fat tenor sax sound. The four tracks are great: Lush Life, U-Jamaa, Crucificado, and Miss Tony. There is trombone, piano, bass, drums, and of course Shepp; they are all good, specially Cameron Brown on bass. The produccion has that "live" edge that makes it even more special. If you want to get into the music of Archie Shepp (I urge to do it, the sooner the better) this is a good start; you will listen to very heavy music without smashing your ears. Good Luck!"
