"I heard this song on MTV's 120 Minutes. Very little of new so called "Alternative" music is any good, although 120 Minutes has yielded a few gems (Sparklehorse, Gomez, Money Mark etc.). This song by Appliance on Mute records, the record company that gave us Depeche Mode and distributed Einsturzende Neubauten, is sheer brilliance. This should appeal to any fan of true modern rock--the stuff 120 Minutes was breaking back in the days when Dave kendall hosted the show. It reminds me of a lot of what they were calling "Post Modern" at the time. That name may only have meaning for anyone who lived through that time period, but this song is excellent and should prove to be a promising start for the breaking of a fine band. A must for any fan of intelligent music or anyone who's tired of clownish aggro metal."
