Apologetix are Spoofernatural!

"This CD is totally awesome! Weird Al rewrites songs to make them funny, the Apologetix rewrite songs to make them holy! Ever since I started listening to them whenever I hear an original song that they wrote a parody to, I find myself singing-along, with the parody's words! The songs are not only squeaky clean,(parents really dig that) but they sound exactly the same! I listen to their CD's over, and over again. They have Classic-Rock, Pop, Country, even Rap! Which makes them perfect for the whole family. I recommend this CD to anyone who likes good music!
This works perfect for me because I can listen to the tunes I love without hearing bad messages, and while totally praising God! This CD is totally Spoofernatural!"

"I think that what ApologetiX is doing in Christian music is great. I was turned on to their music when I heard the song "Hotel Can't Affordya" on the radio a little over a year ago. I emailed the station to get their web address. I realize that not all Christians will agree with this method of Christian music (I love how the first song of the Spoofernatural CD, Play That Funny Music, alludes to John Wesley who did exactly the same thing by taking songs of his day and changing the words). There is some really good non-Christian music out there and ApologetiX is turning it to the Lord's glory. I have seen them in concert 3 times so far and they are impressive. One thing I respect is the way they have always done the song, "Narrow Way to Heaven," a parody of Stairway to Heaven. I am not a musician, so I don't know the intricacies of music. But when they do this song, Karl, the lead guitarist, always pays tribute to the musical talent and genious of the original version. I personally believe that for the ApologetiX band to successfully replicate such a wide variety of musical style and be able to perform it live is a statement to their talent. Strangely, even though I grew up with a lot of the "Classic Rock" which they do a lot of, I think of the words to the ApologetiX versions more than the original now. Even though I am a Classic Rocker myself, I really enjoy the ApologetiX versions of New Rock songs. New Rock tends to be more vile so I don't listen to it. With ApologetiX, I can appreciate the musical style without violating the command in Phil 4 to "think on these things". ApologetiX has some powerful writing, rich in biblical content. One of the most powerful tools for any believer is their own testimony. The song "Choirboy" rocks! I am personally fascinated by "apologetics" for which the band derives its name. Going back a few years to the "Ticked" CD, I have never heard a more powerful defense for the gospel put to music than the song "People". Awesome song writing!"
A great Christian CD of classic rock parodies

"This is really a terrific CD. J Jackson has a gift of being able to accurately parody just about every rock singer out there. They cover Santana's 'Smooth,' Wild Cherry's 'Play that Funky Music,' Richie Valens' 'La Bamba,' Poison;s "Every Rose has its Thorns,' Ricky Martin's 'Livin' La Vida Loca,' Billy Idol's 'Mony, Mony, Joan Jett and the Blackhearts' "I Love Rock and Roll," and many more. They sound like the original artists except they use Christian lyrics and a sense of humor to sanctify these rock and roll staples. I recommend purchasing this cd, and if you are a Christian, let me add that you'll have a hard time wanting to go back to listening to the original versions. The parodies are that good."

""WOW!!! After hearing your music on the other CD's I couldn't wait for Spoofernatural to come out. Your sound, your lyrics, and most importantly, your message, only get better and better. Your music reaches all age groups, but it especially seems to appeal to the young people I'm around. They love to have a response to the worldly music their friends listen to, and ApologetiX certainly fills that void. I compliment you on offering an alternative for those of us who like the music but don't support the lyrics of the secular versions. You have found your mission and you serve it well. Keep up the good work. I'm sure it's probably too early for you guys in ApologetiX to appreciate this, but I'm already eagerly waiting for your NEXT CD! Can't wait till I can get to the next concert you play near here. Congrats again to all involved on the WONDERFUL new CD!!!""
