"This cd tells the story of Chist to 18 parody's of classic rock songs, the production on this cd is weaker than their newer stuff ,and while they tell the story of Christ it is very brief, because their is only so mutch time on a cd,but they do it pretty good, these are some of the best songs, Hotel cant afford ya (parody of "hotel californa" by The Eagles) Parable guy (parorody of "american pie" by Don mclean) I have to die first (parody of "eye of the tiger" by Surviour) Died and rose (parody of "china grove" by the Doobie brothers) Walk his way (parody of "walk this way" by Aerosmith) John 1:1 (parody of "fun, fun, fun" by the Beach boys) Narrow way to heaven (parody of "stairway to heaven" by Led zeppelin) and Fakey shakey parts (parody of "achy breaky heart" by Bill ray cyrus) this cd is not as good as their newer stuff, but stil is great"
Parodies For The Thinking Person

""Jesus Christ Morningstar" is a brilliant CD that uses "serious" parodies to tell the story of the life of Christ and also defend the inerrancy of Scripture, the Resurrection and other doctrines of the Christian faith. In my opinion, the best parodies are (in no particular order):
"Parable Guy (parody of "American Pie" by Don McClean), "You May Be Bright (parody of "You May Be Right" by Billy Joel), "Fakey Shakey Parts (parody of "Achy Breaky Heart" by Billy Ray Cyrus), "Died and Rose" (parody of "China Grove" by the Doobie Brothers) and "John 1:1" (parody of "Fun, Fun, Fun" by the Beach Boys). Other parodies on the CD include parodies of "Hotel California", "Stairway to Heaven", and the "Friends" theme song. Each parody has brilliant lyrics that help bring you closer to Christ and successfully challenge the false doctrines taught by liberal theologians, all while your enjoying great music. This CD is highly, highly, highly recommended."
Never had so much fun...

"...listening to a Christian album! This was the second Apologetix CD I've purchased, and it won't be the last. I think I enjoyed this one more than "Grace Period" because there were more "oldies" parodies on it-perfect for an "oldie" like me. But it doesn't just appeal to me-my 12-year-old son loves it, too. The band does an excellent job in reproducing the sound of the originals. This album has a story line running through most of its tracks, following the life of Jesus. With the release of "The Passion," I found "You May Be Bright" particularly appropriate. I highly recommend this CD for anyone who loves old-time rock and pop hits, but wants to add a Christian sensibility to their listening at the same time."
