"Antony Santos' first album consisted of many "pericoripiaos", or bachatarengues that really bring you into his world. However, "Voy Palla", "Ya encontre mi hembra", and my favorite, "Te vas amor" are true "I adore you" songs that I personally like. This album gave us his roots as to how big a superstar he would become, and still is today."

"Antony Santos is the undisputed KING of bachata! This album is the old school roots of what we know today as modern bachata. Everybody from Aventura to Monchy y Alexadra to Luny Tunes( the Neptunes of reggaeton ) gotta tip their hat to El Mayimbe. There are moments that this is a 5 star album especially "Voy Pa'lla" and "Esa Morena." I forget the exact year that this was released originally, but judging from Santos' faux jheri curl hairdo on the cover, this must be the early to mid eighties. Regardless, Juan Luis Guerra is NOT the father of bachata Santos is. not to take anything away rom JLG he is a genuis but for that raw, emotional heartbreak this is the ONLY place you need look!"
