His voice is superb, his ability to hold his breath and extend a note is extraordinary, his passion for the music and the message of the song comes through loud and clear. The content of his songs in this CD give you the spirit of what Flamenco is all about, the passion for a woman and the pain when you lose her or are betrayed by her. All the songs in this CD are #1 in my book of Flamenco songs. Like Conchita Moreno, another Flamenco singer, Antonio captures the essence of the spirit of the gypsies in Spain and therefore the spirit of spaniards. This is akin to the Blues in the US with the passion for life and the emotional suffering experienced when that passion is denied or lost. I highly recommend this CD for those who wish to drink the essence of Flamenco singing. You will not be disappointed. The songs will grow on you as they have on me, year after year."
