Album DescriptionIn 1947 Artaud created this piece (which roughly translates into 'To Have Done With God's Judgment') for radio which is presented here and is perhaps his ultimate work. What is issued here is the complete broadcast including texts performed in the most phenomenal manner by Artaud himself and strange trance-like music. Artaud would die a few months after this recording. It comes with an important introduction by Marc Dachy, who puts things in their historical perspective. Antonin Artaud is still the archetypal accursed poet, the man confined to the asylum, the inventor of the theatre of cruelty. but he was above all a visionary. Sub Rosa. 2006
