Synopsis

Product Description
South Carolina?s ANTISCHISM remain legend among the peace-punk community for raising the voice of resistance, defiance and hope in the dark years of American hardcore music of the early 1990s. Antischism is a singles collection including tracks from the rare All Their Money Stinks of Death 7? EP, End of Time 7? EP, their side of the split Thinning the Herd LP with SUBVERT and various other outtakes and compilation tracks. The CD is enhanced with new mastering and layout, with all the lyrics presented. The booklet folds out into a mini poster with foil stamped exterior. Members of ANTISCHISM went on to play in INITIAL STATE, DAMAD, .FUCKING COM, CHRONICLE A.D., GUYANA PUNCH LINE and KARST.

CD Reviews

Awesome!

(5 out of 5 stars)

"Dual vocals (guy and girl) screaming politically driven lyrics over hardcore music... they spawned a new genre apart from traditional hardcore which was getting stale. If you find anything by them, buy it... especially the live stuff. Their energy wasn't captured as well in studio efforts."
Best Hardcore group ever!

"I've listened to Antischism since their first 7", all the way through their CD releases and their spin off bands (Initial State, etc.). This is definitely worth the purchase. The CD is a little strange in that there are mutliple versions of the same song, but all-in-all it's worth it. The "live studio recording" of Greedy Bastards is perhaps my favorite track. You can tell they really mean it when they scream, "Let not another tree fall in the name of greed, not one more tribe be civlized for the lust of money!""
