"wow, a japan only anti-pop consortium album. thanks to amazon for carrying this rare masterpiece. fans of their previous effort (tragic epilogue) will be in for quite a treat. 'shopping carts crashing' at least equals if not surpasses their debut. the three rappers: beans, priest and m. sayyid are among the most gifted verbalists i've ever heard. each time i listen to their verses, i hear new references and metaphors that i never caught during previous listens. it just gets better and better. the choruses are pretty bizarre and seem like nonsense but they are still pretty catchy. the production is top-rate. there are a few instrumentals scattered throughout which add to the weird vibe. there is an interesting sound collage called 'new york' that will confuse you if you listen to it while driving. another track, "lazarus pit" uses some weird heavy metal guitar riff and is probably the strongest song on the album. overall, 'shopping carts crashing" is an instant classic. not just in hip-hop but all genres. yeah, so it's pricy for one disc. do it....buy the sucker. you can't get this in a store. unless you live in japan. anti-pop saved the world!"
