Synopsis

Album Description
This album is both an Annie Haslam solo career and Renaissance-lite presentation. Haslam finds a balance between the two sides of her repertory, and even introduces one pleasant if not earth-shaking song, 'Brazilian Skies,' written for the occasion of the concerts where this album was recorded. It also includes Annie's version of the Mike Oldfield song 'Moonlight Shadow.'

CD Reviews

Annie Wows Brazilian Crowd
V. Calitri | Northern New Jersey | 02/18/2007
(4 out of 5 stars)

"A beautiful CD with some brilliant vocal performances by the ex-Renaissance lead vocalist. I particularly liked versions of "Prince and the Princess", Yes's "Turn of the Century", and the song written for her trip to Brazil titled "Brazilian Sky". Though famous in her own right, I find it amazing to not find Annie in more main stream areas of music. Her voice is truly from above!"
A Spendid Release

"If you like Annie Haslam BUY THIS NOW. The material spans all but her newest releases. It's true her voice has lost a little since her fabulous work with Rennaissane in the 70's, but she is still one of the finest vocalists on the planet. The thing that makes this CD special is that, with minimal accompaniment, her voice really is front and center. The only bad news is that she doesn't try Sounds Of The Sea or any of her other incredible Renaissance pieces."
