CD Reviews

Sweet and Melodic
Molly P. | Portland, Oregon USA | 09/22/2007
(5 out of 5 stars)

""Lullaby" features instrumental music from the TV series "Road To Avonlea" and the third "Anne of Green Gables" movie ("Anne of Green Gables: The Continuing Story"). It includes many different melodies, which, as far as I've been able to tell, were used in scenes featuring babies or children. Some of the tunes are quick and lively, others are slow and serene.

If you're thinking of buying some of the other CDs in this collection, you should know that the tunes are very similar from one CD or another. Technically, the songs are slightly different, but many of the cues and melodies are nearly identical. So far I've bought "Lullaby," "Winter Pleasures," and "Kindred Spirits." If I put them all on my ipod and listen to them on Shuffle, it's nearly impossible to tell which song came from which CD.

All in all, if you enjoy the "Avonlea" series or this type of music, you'll probably want to purchase one or two of the CD's in this collection. It will be your job to decide which one(s) to buy!"
