"Let's set the record straight re the tracks on this CD!
It features tracks recorded by a band formed in the 1990's by (and fronted by) ex Eric Burdon & The Animals bass guitarist Danny McCulloch and CALLING THEMSELVES "The Animals".
Apart from McCulloch, no other members of the legendary 1960's line-ups of The Animals and/or Eric Burdon & The Animals are in the band that recorded these tracks.
These tracks definitely DO NOT FEATURE ERIC BURDON.
There has been many other CD releases featuring these same tracks, often marketed misleadingly with pics of Eric Burdon or The Animals or Eric Burdon & The Animals appearing on the CD covers.
The CD does however contain interesting re-recordings by McCulloch & Co of hits made famous by The Animals and quite enjoyable new tracks written and recorded by McCulloch and Co..."

"A friend of mine, who mainly listens to "metalcore", decided he'd expand his musical horizons and pick up this collection. He came home very excited about his new purchase, especially since he'd only paid a dollar for it - and it has all the hits! Having heard this disc and not wanting to ruin the surprise, I suggested he skip to "Don't Let Me Be Misunderstood". The look of dumbfounded confusion and disappointment on his face when hearing the opening blast of Street Fighter 2 sounding instrumentation...well, it was a barrel of laughs all around. Sonic Boom!



I highly recommend that you recommend this collection to someone jonesin' for the Animals or give it to an enemy as a gift. Just make sure you're there when they listen to it. Satisfying in the same way as watching someone fall on their [...] on a patch of ice.



Classic rock bands have redone their own songs many times before, but nothing as jarringly gross as this! It sounds like an old dying man choking out his last words in the middle of a Chuck E. Cheese arcade while the band of robotic stuffed animals laughs at him. Well worth the $1 sticker price at your local video game Exchange. Of course, if you have a dollar to spend at an Exchange you could probably pick up a couple Caribbean steel drum records, a 4 LP collection of Bach fugues (though side 5 probably has a pukestain still on it from a cat that died in 1978) and a Neneh Cherry tape - with 7 cents to spare.



But seriously, this disc is terrible, you should get it.
