Gets a crowd into a party mood

"It's amazing, when one looks at when some of these tracks were recorded, at how "out there" the animals were in their day. People must've thought they were really animals in comparison to the morass of pap that was around on the UK charts at the time.
Sure, they were a bunch of white guys ripping off the black sounds from the US, but they brought their own engery into it and they go right off! They really knew how to gee up a crowd.
As the previous reviewer said, this is great party music. It's energy is truely infectious. It's get crazy music. The sound of the crowd in the recording really helps with the high energy feel. Makes me wish I had've been old enough and in England to see them in their heyday.
It's a real pity that sample tracks for this album haven't been put up on Amazon.
Try to imagine the sound of a large ecstatic crowd when Eric starts growling out in staccato fashion:
Boom, boom, boom, boom
Gonna shoot you right down
Take you in my arms
I'm in love with you
Love that is true
Boom, boom, boom, boom
It's great stuff.

"This is definitely high-energy party music! Much different than any other Animals recordings I've heard. Well worth the investment for any Animals fan."
A Great Live Album

"I first bought this as an LP back in 1985 and have been really energized by the performances. The Animals recorded in front of a raucious Wembley Stadium crowd that couldn't get enough of their song showmanship. You are hearing a fresh, powerful sound rather than a rehash of their 60s sound. Each song is very distinctively performed, giving alot of soul and feeling.
You will listen to it over and over again. The CD sound is crisp and powerful. This is my favorite live album.
