"(Sorry about that header.) Andy Fraser, best known as bass player for Free/Sharks and composer of the rock anthem "All Right Now", released these two underrated albums in 1975/'76, and they have been next to impossible to find until now.Believe it or not, Fraser took much flak at the time for having the nerve to release a "rock" album with bass, drums and keyboards only. (Funny, no one ever questioned Emerson, Lake & Palmer's ability to "rock" with that same instrumental lineup!)In other words, it didn't sound much like Free...but in retrospect, the material has held up very well and the songwriting and musicianship are superb. Musicians will find Fraser's "lead bass" style interesting;some of the R&B/funk influenced grooves parallel the patented "Larry Graham" sound. Recommended for fans 70's Brit-rock."
