"These two exceptional solo wind stars and profs at UofM Ann Arbor combine here with delightful selections form Dring, Damase, Ginastera, Delibes, Bozza and Holst for a magnificent CD.The piece by Dring will certainly become one of my favorites, with the neat interplay between the two instruments with the strings. What I especially enjoy about these CD's are the interesting selection of music they choose, since this introduces me to many new composers and their music. This CD is exceptional in that for me, since outside of Holst and the Flower Duet, the rest was unknown. This exposure to the breath and depth and width of music is such fun. Thus, thanks to the performers for this magnificent colleciton.The notes with this provide ample resource for discovering this music. Holst composed this while in residence at Ann Arbor. These two worldclass performers play with great phrasing and blend their instruments so well, all the while amply accompanied by notes keyboardest Phillip Bush, equally acclaimed on his instrument.Delightful must for woodwinds to add and play often in their CD collection."
