Album Description

American Icon's music is an interesting collage of rock styles that takes its place alongside artists who have played pivotal roles in music history. Some have drawn quick comparisons to Stone Temple Pilots, Our Lady Peace, and 54-40. While the band enjoys those artists records, American Icon derives its unique sound thru each member bringing their own individual ideas and creativity to each song using a wide array of influences ranging from Robert Johnson's dirty delta blues, through Chuck Berry's savage 50's sound, to the dark power of the London underground scene in the 60's. Mix in The Cult, INXS, and Glenn Miller, then your half way there.

"After reading the recommendation by another listener, I felt compelled to buy this cd, and as reviewed it was an excellent choice. I agree with the online review completely. This cd was a nice change from the average music that is being produced lately. It has a uniquely different sound. Their sound is different with each song, which leads the listener to believe that this band will not be boring in their future endeavors. It has a jazzie but slightly punk sound. That is very rare in todays music. As it stands the bands music has influences from many of the "late greats", which in turn only benefits this cd. I highly recommend this cd. The American_Icon web page is also a must visit."

"This cd is an array of thought provoking songs which speaks to the everyday person. The artists have a unique ability to mesh real life with an imaginative surrealism, giving life itself a whole new twist. The varied rhythms keep the listener intrigued, its not the same old thing over and over. This band is oozing with creativity, and needs to be recognized. I would recommend this cd to anyone who enjoys new music and constantly seeks a reprive from the average "pop" rut. Once heard, the listener can only wait with anticipation to see what these three men do next."
