Cuban for the non-spanish speaker

"First of all, I have great respect for Mr. Alvarez Guedes. He is a Cuban born comedian. He has performed in many cities mostly to a spanish speaking audience. If you ever remembered where you were when you first listed to a George Carlin LP, this comedian has the same type of effect on me. My first LP was #23, my first dirty joke was the on that LP. As a bilingual comedian, he was able to cross over way before Cheech (Marin) or Paul Rodriguez did back in the 80s.
As for #14 (as we all affectionately remember it), Alvarez Guedes does the unthinkable. He teaches us how to use the various words and phrases common to the spanish speaking community in Miami and more specifically to the Cuban population. In this CD Alvarez Guedes advises us that by learning these words and phrases, as non-spanish speaking Americans, WILL help us "defend ourselves from the Cubans". It serves as a tutorial for some, and just plain laugh out loud moments for most. The B-Sides contain what appears to be centuries old hacky jokes that are told by Alvarez Guedes. My favorites in this section is "Ronald W. Reagan" and "Pancho Villa"
To finalize my rambling- as Alvarez might say to you the purchaser, NO SEAS COMEMIERDA Y COMPRE ESTE DISCO."
