Album DescriptionRecorded during their now legendary first couple of rehearsals, which took place at Throbbing Gristle's studio in Hackney, April 1977. the line-up was Mark Perry on vocals, Alex Fergusson on guitar and Genesis P.Orridge playing bass and drums on various tracks. Between tracks you can also hear the voices of Chris Carter and Cosey Fanni Tutti from Throbbing Gristle. This is not just a collection of badly recorded songs. It is meant as a fly-on-the-wall documentary giving the listener an insight into the early development of ATV and also the chance to hear some unreleased songs while they play, jam, chat, make phone calls and generally act like ATV and T/G The Unholy Alliance! A bonus track 'Still Life' is included which is an unreleased track from the Rat Club live show and features their use of tapes as an intro. The sleeve comprises a 12-page booklet featuring a previously unpublished essay by Genesis P.Orridge from 1977 that was scheduled to appear in Sniffin' Glue. Also included in the booklet are previously unseen photos from the actual rehearsals.
