"ani difranco isn't the only good thing coming from buffalo these days. alison is possibly one of the best of what's out there as far as the chick with an electric guitar thing goes. her acoustic songs are great as well! some people who put on a great live rock show sound terrible on cd, and some who sound great on cd are terrible live. alison defies that and rocks out with her latest release."

"Alison Pipitone is one of Buffalo's best-kept secrets; she's put out five CDs, all of them solid efforts. Unfortunately, like those other Buffalo-bred musicians Peter Case and Willie Nile, talented singing and songwriting does not always equal success. Too bad, because Pipitone stands head and shoulders above most female performers. If you like music in the vein of Ani DiFranco or Sheryl Crow, then you should definitely check out her stuff."
