"While I admire established divas like Ornella Vanoni and Milva and appreciate the new generation of artists like Irene Grandi and Carmen Cansoli, Alice is still my favorite Italian female vocalist. She has a very expressive voice that she really knows how to use over some great, mostly electronic arrangements in this excellent compilation. She sings a lot of Franco Battiato's songs, which should give you some idea of her taste in selecting what goes into her albums. My favorites are Per Elisa (love how she half-growls interjections between sung lines) and Battiato's classic Nomadi, with its incredibly catchy chorus. I have since purchased several of her regular release CDs, despite the overlaps between their tracklists and that of this compilation. She is that good. As the reviewer below said, don't think about it. Just buy this CD. You will play it a lot!"
