Product DescriptionCanadian violinist Alexandra Da Costa was a prodigious talent on the violin and piano, and after obtaining a Master's Degree and First Prize from the Conservatoire de Musique du Quebec at the age of 18, he continued his studies with Zakhar Bron. Da Costa has received many awards including the Juno Award in 2012, the Sylva Gelber Foundation Award from the Canada Council for the Arts, and the prestigious Virginia-Parker Prize - one of Canada's highest cultural distinctions. This album includes several of Saint-Saëns's most-loved violin works, including his Violin Concerto No. 3 and his thrilling Introduction and Rondo Capriccioso, as well what is possible his best-known orchestral work, the Symphony No. 3 in C Minor.
