Shostakovich goes lyrical

"
There are oodles of recordings of Dmitri Shotakovich's Symphony No. 10, an obvious indication that listeners file this one under 'Accessible Shostakovich'.
Alexander Rahbari and the good folks from Brussels give us a lithe version of Shostakovich's mock dirge for Josef Stalin, much in the style of similar sarcastic intonations produced by the biblical prophets over the death of, say, the Babylonian monarch.
The Naxos boys provide superb sound on what could well be any listener's sole recording of Shostakovich's arrival at double digits in the symphony column."
