Pushing the musical envelope with each successive album, the young Alejandro Fernandez went for broke on this fusion of pop balladry and trad rancheras. In a smart move, he picked veteran studio wiz Emilio Estefan Jr. to come up with a winning recipe--great material and excellent musicianship to back up a topflight singer. Gloria Estefan teams up with Fernandez in the duet "En el Jardin," a touching tune about finding true love. But it's on the inspirational song "Yo Naci para Amarte" that Fernandez's velvety baritone fuses passion with power as he sings of coming to terms with destiny. On the same level is "No Se Olvidar," in which he conveys the fear of solitude that coexists with the drive of personal conviction. Beyond Perfection!

"Let me start by saying: this is the best Latin CD available!. It's simply amazing. First off, Alejandro Fernandez is the best Mexican singer of his time (sorry Luis Miguel, you are not alone now). His voice is so strong, yet very sensible. And one thing I noticed is that he sings with passion. The songs on this CD are simply amazing!. The romantic lyrics of "Si Tu Supieras" are truly a gift from beyond (thanks, Kike!). "Yo Naci Para Amarte" is another turned-classic, along with "Yo No Se Olvidar" and of course, "Me Estoy Enamorando". Whoever doesn't have this CD needs it! It's the best one!"

"I have been teaching Spanish language in a high school setting for 8 years now. I have always liked to use contemporary music in my classes to show grammar in action and culture as it lives within songs. A student from the Spanish Club suggested I get this CD. At that point, several years ago now, I hadn't heard of Alejandro. I purchased the CD and WOW! The lyrics just blew me away. I now use his music in class and my students just love it! There is nothing quite like a nice romantic Latin singer to get my chatty teenage girls to listen and pay strict attention...after, of course, they have had their say about his looks. His music reaches my students, and for that I will always be grateful."

"When I first heard this all I could do was weep...it made me feel emotions long gone from my life. It's the most romantic of all his recordings, and the beauty of it is overwhelming. If you want to renew your heart and lift your spirit, this will do it. 6 of the 10 songs are written by Kike Santander, an extraordinary poet and composer. That his poetry has found Alejandro's voice and soul to express them is a magical, and I'm sure fated, event. One of Kike's songs, "En El Jardin", is a duet with Gloria Estefan, and they have a lovely vocal blend. This is no ordinary, nice CD. It's a life-changing, powerful experience, and music at its very best. Gracias Alejandro, por tu musica, tu alma, tu genio."
