In less than a decade, Alejandro Fernández has emerged as one of Mexico's leading young performers by effortlessly balancing the solid ranchera sounds of his father Vicente Fernández with the slick balladry of co... more »ntemporaries like Enrique Iglesias. On Entre Tus Brazos, however, Fernández sticks a bit too close to the formula of his past successes. His deep, expressive voice glides nicely around the sensual rhythms of "Háblame" and "Quiéreme," but there's a sense of slick detachment that courses throughout most of the tracks, all of which were produced by Emilio Estefan, Jr. Every song is awash in sound-alike string arrangements and tortured-love lyrics. The tempo picks up here and there, but this glossy collection is likely to induce more sleep than swoons. --Joey Guerra« less

"Once thing is certain, and that is that Alejandro Fernandez has to be the most talented male singer out there. Every song he sings is smooth and very inspiring. And when you add the a great Producer such as Emilio Estefan Jr. and a great Composer/Writer as is Kike Santander, nothing but excellence is the result. That was the case of "Me Estoy Enamorando", as is now for "Entre Tus Brazos". The CD is very well-rounded. If you want a little rythm to groove to, you have "Quiereme" and "Nunca Me Arrepiento". If you want romatic ballads with great composition you have, "Hablame", "Si Te Vas", "Cada Manana", "Te Llevo Guardada" and "Ensename". Anybody who loves inspirational lyrics, touching composition, soothing harmony, and vocal interpretation, should most definitely get this CD. It's worth the time you listen to it, and then some."
Incredibly beautiful, romantic album

"I am overwhelmed in the extreme by this wonderful CD. Every single song on this CD is absoultely beautiful, Alejandro's voice is just about the most gorgeous and expressive voice I have heard, deeply masculine, vividly evocative and emotional, yet never overly sentimental. The arrangements are lovely and sophisticated. I have become so possesed by this music, my only problem is not to play it every day. I want to because it really takes me to a wonderful romantic place that I like being. While at first there seemed little variation in mood between the songs, the subtle changes soon became in evident. You do not need to understand Spanish, but I sure wish I did, it is so romantic and passionate. Furthermore, the sound quality is superb, and with 13 songs at 57 minutes total, it is an uncommonly generous package. Special regoginition must go to Kiki Santander for writing 7 of these wonderful songs, and Emilio Estefan for his production. And to top it all off, Alejandro is one of the most handsome, sexy men imaginable, wonderful to picture seeing these songs! Anyone who has in interest in Latin male vocals, should buy this CD immediately, and it is worth whatever price you pay for it."
After hearing this at least 200 times...

"The beauty and perfection of this CD has brought peace and calm into my life, as well as to others. I've seen negative emotions vanish under the spell of this music. It has transforming power.Every track is gorgeous. "Entre tus Brazos", with its exquisite lyrics and melody has become my favorite...the wonderfully romantic "Te Llevo Guardada" and "Agua de Mar" ( I love that last note !), and 10 more, all sung with so much heart, soul, and passion. Although understanding the lyrics adds to the joy of this CD, I don't think it's necessary in order to appreciate the universal magic of this music. The entire package is an inspired work of art, from the performance to the booklet design.God bless Alejandro, and keep him always safe and much loved !"

"By far, this album overshadows any of his previous work in the sense that in this album Alex pours out his heart in these songs unlike any other of his previous work. I am a true Alex fan and i'm not to say that his other work is not worth buying or listening, on the contrary, they are also pieces of some of the most beautiful songs the world will ever hear. It's just that in this cd, Alex really goes for the gold. It is a crossbreed of bolero, a hint of mariachi, with a carribean flavor. If you're a romanitc or simply want to listen to deserving music, this is the cd for you."

"I don't understand Spanish but I first saw 'Muy Estoy Enamorando' on the shelf and bought it on the spur of the moment. I determined to buy every one of Alejandro's albums after that. To this day, none of his albums has disappointed. Alejandro has that special gift of being able to sing in different styles - whether in the traditional 'rancheras' or with a touch of the Caribbean or even pop. This album reaches out to a part of my soul I thought had long gone cold. He displays good voice control and vocal range. Since I don't understand Spanish, what I'm identifying with is basically his voice, his emotions, his soul. Congratulations, Alejandro! You've got a fan for life!"
