Alan Davey - 'Captured Rotation' (Emergency Broadcast System

"As most of you probably know,Alan Davey was a vital member of Hawkwind from 1984-96. Believe this was his first of numerous solo releases. Davey has,in fact returned to tour with Dave Brock and crew in later years. I've had this CD for quite some time now,as I must say that it's every bit as good as one might expect. Fellow '90's Hawkster vocalist/frontman Ron Tree lent Davey a hand in the making of this must-have twelve-track import CD. He apparently co-wrote and sings on "The Call","Ancient Light" and "Pre-Med". Davey plays everything on 'Captured Rotation'-bass,lead,rhythm and acoustic guitar, synths and wave segs. He provides the stellar vocals on "Thunderbirds". Several cool instrumentals here that'll have you keeping this title in your 'current rotation stack' for awhile are "Never Comedown",the somewhat hypnotic "Space Bass","Special Wave" and the cataclysmic "Hawkestrel". A worthy pick. Check out the other CD's that Davey has put out. Very nice."
