"This album followed on the heels of the superb Vanishing Race, released in 1993. News From Nowhere not only matches the beauty and strength of that album, it surpasses it.While many may write Air Supply off as 80's relics, they overlook the fact that the band is now producing the finest music of their career. Air Supply was never at a loss for great melodies, but with "News", as well as its predecessor, a new sophistication is unearthed. The arrangements are rich and haunting, especially on such tracks as "Heart Of the Rose" and "Just Between the Lines". The romantic element is everpresent, but it is paired with a sense of introspection. "Can't Stop The Rain" is a perfect example of this. The album has a wonderful flow to it, with balance between mid-tempo numbers and ballads. "Unchained Melody" provides a mix of faithful rendition and new sonic clarity, not to mention a superb Russell Hitchcock vocal. Graham Russell gets many a chance to shine, not the least on the album's most adventurous track: "Primitive Man". Like "The Vanishing Race", this track explores a world/ethnic sensibility, compelling and hypnotic. Lush orchestrations and the wonderful piano of Guy Allison complement the material, transcending the ordinary.News From Nowhere is a testament to a band hitting its stride, in spite of trends and flavors of the day. Good News, and great music, can come From Nowhere!"

"I've always enjoyed Air Supply, but they've really outdone themselves with this magnificent recording. The title track and 'Spirit of Love' are my personal favorites, but the entire album shines! If you've never given this group a listen, then start with this CD. They will be hard pressed to surpass it for sheer beauty and feeling."
Quite possibly Air Supply's Best!

"The masters of the love song return with this memorable '95 outing. Their unrivaled ability to evoke emotions and memories in the listener are as strong as ever in tracks such as Someone and Always. Their distinctively smooth harmonies make the title track shine. Heart of the Rose and Spirit of Love are powerful songs that we should all take to heart. The Aussie duo even did a masterful job of remaking the Righteous Brothers' classic Unchained Melody, giving it their own distinctive flavor."
