""Ain't Misbehavin" continues the excellence that has made Ron Merritt one of American's truly fine pianists. His unique styling makes this a recording which will be played again and again. When I first learned of the selections on this album, I had misgivings. Ron has established a reputation as a wonderful player of slower, romantic music. Quite frankly, I was doubtful he could maintain his high standards with tunes such as St. Louis Blues and On the Sunny Side of the Street. All it took to eliminate any concern I had was to listen to the recording just once. Ron Merritt can play up-tempo music! He brings new warmth and feeling to this collection of mostly ragtime standards. Ably assisted by the acoustic bass of Dave Marotta, this music requires no vocals. As with Ron's other recordings, the piano itself seems to sing the words. "Ain't Misbehavin" will expose listeners to a somewhat different Ron Merritt. The material is different, but the quality of the performance is the same as usual--absolutely outstanding!"

"I just received this from my cousin in CA. and I've tried to purchase it in the Western NY area with no success. It is truly a tremendous CD - I played it 3 or 4 times on Father's Day for my Dad and he enjoyed every minute - a real trip down memory lane - thanks for hours of enjoyment!!"

"I was in a boutique in Big Bear Lake, CA when I first heard this CD of music. The store was playing it and also had the CD for sale. The music was beautiful. My mother wanted to stay in the boutique just to listen to the music. The sales clerk said the CD had been going like hotcakes all day. I asked how much it cost. I wanted to buy one but the price was too high ($19.95). She said it was only sold in specialty stores. Well, the next day I got on the computer and went to Amazon.com! And there it was for sale at a much better price. Thanks Amazon! I guess you are a "specialty" store!"
