"Gene Eugene is the closest thing to a true Christian most of us will ever have a chance to hear much less meet. I wish all the Adam Again CD's were still available but this will have to do. The man never came across as preachy but was still able to touch you with his lyrics. Touch you in a way that reminded you we are all human and trying to figure out what the heck is going on. He found something that gave him peace but would never talk down to you if you didn't see the world the way he did. Worldwide is an incredible song that is just has much as classic as What's Going On by Marvin Gaye. Do yourself a favor, suspend all you baggage about what you think Christian Rock is about and spend your hard earned money on this CD. It has a great funk\rock\blues feel to it. Heck, if you really like it I can burn copies of the only Adam Again CD's I have: Dig, Perfecta and Homeboys for you to have. I kid you not this guy and this band are shooting stars and you need this in your collection.Gene, I weep for not having you alive and for the music I will never hear. But I am grateful that you chose to make music and I am thankful for the legacy you left behind. The Earth is Hard, the Treasure Fine."
Goodbye Gene Eugene

"This is a pretty good mix drawn from the many Adam Again albums (most of which you can't get, although some sometimes show up at radrockers.com). My favorite Adam Again album is Ten Songs, and my favorite song from that, "Who Can Hold Us?" isn't on this compilation disc. Other than that though, this CD excellently represents the range of this amazing and unique band that sounds like no one else, yet recognizably carries a tradmark sound. Songs like "Stone" are not just good enough for radio, they're better, and sound like what radio would play if it were more diverse and less corporate. Does anyone know what's up with this "Guadelupe" album Amazon is listing? I'm not familiar with that CD. Can hard-core Adamanians enlighten me? By the way, Adam Again's first album, "In a New World of Time" cover art was done by Rev. Finster, the Georgia artist whose primitive-style art also appeared on REM and Talking Heads jackets. (More reason to hope more Adam Again is released again)."
WOW!

"This CD is a good example of the wonderful songwriting of the late Gene Eugene. Every one of these songs touch my heart. His vocals remind me of Bob Mould and the guitar work is EXCELLENT!
Buy this CD....."
Will burn an imprint on your skull!

"I'm gonna go out on a limb here and say this cd is fantastic. From the opening notes of "Worldwide" to the end of the disc you'll discover more soul in here than you'll hear anywhere else. "Homeboys" will make your hair stand on end. This is a compilation from their 5 albums, In a new world of time, 10 songs, Homeboys, Dig, and Perfecta. It's a nice selection because every song is good. With Gene just passing away recently , I hope that more people will discover this great music. After listening to this disc a few times you'll know every note and you'll be scrambling to get more of their back catalog. You'll hear shades of REM but it's more funky. Gene's voice is nothing short of beautiful and some of the songs just ache with the struggle of life and his belief in God. Just buy it, you'll dig it."
