"I had to write a rebuttal to the one and only review of this album. The dude got it so badly wrong its embarrassing. This is one scorching hot piece of high octane punk rock. The leader of this band, Ned Hayden, is one of the craziest lunatics to ever pick up a guitar.
He spewed vitriol all over anyone who didn't fit in with his totally inflexible view of what made a great rock song - straight ahead, no-prisoners-taken, balls to the wall aggression. Three minutes max. No waste, no mess, no fuss. The whole record is like 20 minutes long and it doesn't stop to take a breath once through 14 tracks of compressed mayhem.
Decimation Blvd was his manifesto, and along with the first Action Swingers album and an EP called More Fast Numbers, it was an indispensable legacy of the New York noise scene that also produced such white hot classics as Unsane's Singles 89 - 92, Pussy Galore's Right Now and Sonic Youth's Bad Moon Rising.
