Formed by Millie Jackson's producer/writer, Rafael Gerald, Act One achieved success on the U.S. R&B charts as well as scoring a few hits in the UK as well. In 2006, their single 'Friends Or Lovers' was sampled on Lloyd Banks' 'Born Alone, Die Alone' from the soundtrack of the 50 Cent film Get Rich Or Die Tryin'.
