Synopsis

Album Description
Recurring Dream And Apocalypse Of Darkness is the by far the heaviest Acid Mothers Temple record yet. The limited edition double LP version of Recurring Dream is packaged in a deluxe gatefold tip-on heavy duty jacket and it contains two bonus tracks rounding out the double LP set. Both the CD & LP feature remarkable art work by Seldon Hunt. Acid Mothers Temple & the Melting Paraiso U.F.O. (and subsequent offshoots) is a Japanese psychedelic band, the core of which formed in 1995. The band is led by guitarist Kawabata Makoto and early in their career featured many musicians, but by 2004 the line-up had coalesced with only a few core members and frequent guest vocalists.

Acid Mothers Temple & The Melting Paraiso UFO - 'Recurring D
Mike Reed | USA | 08/30/2008
(5 out of 5 stars)

"Newest offering by the Acid Mothers bunch. This has got to be the (if not one of the) H-E-A-V-I-E-S-T CD's / lp's these Japanese acid-psych rockers ever put out. Disc features two lengthy cuts - "Eternal Incarnation Or Perpetual" (36:29) with plenty of ripping synthesizer and shredding guitar (Buckethead, eat your heart out) and "Recurring Dream And Apocalypse Of Darkness" (36:30) - I know I hear some flute in there somewhere as well as some superb electronic oscillations within. Every bit as outstanding as some of the AMT's earlier gems, like their self-titled debut, 'IAO Chant' and 'Have You Seen The Other Side Of The Sky?'. Heard the 2-lp version of this title has two bonus cuts. Too bad I'll probably never get to hear them - haven't had a turn table in years. Fans of early Sabbath, Hawkwind and Monster Magnet are likely to have to stop to catch their breath (as I did) after they thoroughly experience this must-have CD. Acid-heads, hippies and fellow tripsters - rejoice! This disc is 100% essential."

"This is my first Acid Mother album. It knocked my socks off. I recommend this to anyone with a taste for psychedelia"
