(5 out of 5 stars)

"Why is this quite possibly the best heavy metal record ever made?1) These guys actually knew how to write songs (you know, with melodies and lyrics and everything) and this set list could serve as their Greatest Hits. Not a dud in the bunch.2) Precision German engineering. God DAMN this band was tight! Check out the synchronized sixteenth-notes on "Fast as a Shark" and marvel.3) Udo Dirkschneider made Brian Johnson sound like Lou Rawls. Enough said.4) Oh hell, it just rocks. Why not buy it right now?"
This is one hell of a live album

"I give it four stars only because it does not contain the songs "Head Over Heels", "Burning" and "Neon Nights" which appear on the european 2-disc set. But other then that, this is great.

One of the only live albums i listened to on a daily basis, this is how metal should sound live. Udo is simply awesome here, his razor shreiks and yells were probably the roughest vocals you could get in the age before extreme metal (i.e. Thrash, Death, ect). All of the songs are played with amazing energy, these guys were definatly NOT lazy, and did not rest on the laurals of the studio counterparts of these songs unlike what mopst bands did with live records (check out the Scorpions "World Wide Live" album to see what i mean about inferior live songs), in fact these guys actually made their live songs sound better!

The Wolf Hoffmann solo in the middle is breathtaking, along with Vitto Bratta, prehaps the most underrated guitarist alive, now he's a world famous photographer, go figure.

If you have never heard of this band, i would say start with this platter, it gives you the best songs from their four best albums played live. German rock at its finest."

"The Epic version of this album omits "Neon Nights," "Burning," "Head Over Heels," and "Bound To Fail," the first three of which are some of the best songs on the album! Grr! Even so, this is an awesome live album. It is much better than their newer live album (variously titled "All Areas," "The Final Chapter," & "Farewell Live") on which there is no 2nd guitarist. The best songs here are "Breaker," "Fast As A Shark," "Balls To The Wall," & the 4m29s guitar solo! Be sure to get the BMG/RCA version if you can find it."
