"Indianapolis band About the Fire's self titled debut album is awesome. This is what punk / hard rock is about. From the opening chords of "Shadow Box" to the closing seconds of "Junk Drawer", this CD picks you up and carries you through every chord. A cross between Foo Fighters, NoFx, and a lot of originality, Rites of Passage comes on as a strong debut for a band that has rocked the local music scene in Indianapolis and is now ready to take their "all our own" sound and tear up clubs, bars, theaters, and arenas across the country. About the Fire comes on strong, and don't let up. Turn this one up to 11 and get ready for you neighbors to pound on the wall and your mom to yell to turn it down.. But you can't, and that is how this disc is to be played. Loud.
Don't miss tracks: "How Bout Now", "Not to Be a Dick, But...", "Oil and Water", "Unfeeling""
