The Beauty of Darkness

"Abigor's first 4 albums are essential Black Metal Masterpieces. This band if truly original and may have been the most talented band in the early to mid 90's. I'm not sure why they didn't get the recognition they deserved! The folk and classical inspired acoustic guitar passages are wonderful. The guitar and drum work is just amazing to listen too. They play at an extremely high and complicated level of atmospheric BM. The blistering fast speed, keyboards and enchanting music played on this release is haunting. The vocalist has one of the best early style BM screams I've ever heard. I like his vocals just as much as Nocturnal Culto of Darkthrone. You really can't compare Abigor to any one else, but if I had to, I would say they sound like early Emperor. You have to listen to this album to understand what I'm talking about; it can't be put into words. Anyone who likes Black Metal needs to listen to this album! After the first 4 releases, the vocalist left the band and they were never the same."
ATMOSPHERIC BLACK METAL

"ABIGOR, definitely one of the most relevant black metal acts of the 90's worldwide. Principally for not coming from Norway or Sweden...
BUY THIS, YOU BLACK METAL HEAD!!!
This is not as Burzum-eske as their debut, but it is very essential also... A touch of female vocals and keyboards, medieval spirit music, great riffs and melodies... Best tracks are "Scars in the Landscape of God" and "Dornen".
WARNING: don't worry, you may have to hear this album for 3 or 4 times until your ears get usual to it... It's normal... YOU WILL AGREE WITH ME, IT'S A GREAT ALBUM!!!"
I may have a new favorite band...

"Yeah, these guys are very, very, very good. This is much more symphonic than the other abigor albums, but stays brutal, while adding a little more moderate paced/less insane element. Though slower overall this dosnt make this album worse. You can still tell its abigor, their core sound is very strong. The vox are amazing, the guitars are innovative, the drums are great as always in abigor. Buy this CD!!!"
