AZ - Final Call

"After nearly 3 years since he last album, "Aziatic" was released, AZ was going to drop "Final Call" in 2005. A lot of people thought this would be his last album because of the title but that wasn't the case. It got pushed back multiple times and heavily bootlegged until it was scrapped. Luckily the track list was released and I got a copy of the actual album.

Another AZ album that's good but could have been a lot better. It seems like he's losing his ear for good production and the hooks don't make it any better. Still a good album, try to download it if you can."
"5th" solo is decent, not his best

"This was supposed to be AZ's 5th album coming out in late 04/early 05, and never saw the light of day (AZ did put a few songs on his "AWOL" album and a few popped up on mixtapes). Finally about 4 years later it got released as his 8th album (10th if you count his "N4L' mixtape and "SOSA" EP that also never got released). Of his albums, it is definitely on the lower end, which still gets 4 stars, he just has a good amount of 4.5 and 5 star albums to his name. With 14 songs, 1 he isn't on, you get 9 good ones and 5 ok ones, but no classic material like he usually has. Guests are't oo heavy, on 3 songs and doing hooks on a few others. No production credits are given and it isn't as good as he usually has, but still decent. A nice album for fans of one of the more consitent and talented rappers over the last 13 years or so.
