Life in Stereo

"Whether A.J. is inspired by his own experiences, someone else's, or general sentiment, it can be certain that life is conveyed in his music. It might be true that some will identify with his work on this album more so than others; however, the sentiment is nonetheless conveyed. The attachment that this artist has with his work comes through one's speakers crystal clear, provoking the audience to feel much the same, perhaps, whether they can truly relate or not. That is, A.J. Roach has a way of enveloping his listeners in his music, utilizing a seemingly perfect blend of poignant lyrics, heartfelt vocals, and diverse instrumentals. What some might refer to as a haunting presentation of Appalachian sound at its finest is also a fit representation of life and its experiences: mentally, physically, and otherwise. This album is exceptional beyond expectation."
True Poet

"A J Roach is a true poet. As in his first CD "Dogwood Winter," the combination of the timeless and distinctive Appalachian musical sound with modern, even urban, messages and themes is unique. Whether he's writing about his father, drugs and alcohol, or love, A J's way with words is poignant and evokes universal feelings. "...there are times I wish I'd said all the folly in my heart and not the wisdom in my head." Who hasn't felt like that? I just want more music from this very talented man."
