This band has potential, but just needs some repairs.

"With the advice of a friend, I checked this CD out, and to be fair, played through the album a few times prior to making judgments. I couldn't pin-point what held this album back, but after the second time I knew exactly what they needed.
There were a few songs that really stood out for me:
Subliminal Mistakes
Leaving Again
Scenes of My Confessions (Reprise) - Easily my favorite song on the album. Excellent instrumentals.
Simple Pleasures - My other favorite song on the album. Reminds me of the old NES days playing Mario and Ice Climbers. Sounds like a tribute to a Nintendo composer.
I strongly disliked "Band Practice" The instrumentals were definitely enjoyable, however, this brings me to what held this album back -- the singing really threw it off. The attempt at blending rock and rap failed; To be blunt, it sounded like a gobbling turkey on steroids.
Most of the tracks had excellent instrumentals, however, the lyrics and singing definitely held this album back. I hope that this band releases an instrumental version of "No Reserve, No Retreat, No Regret" in the future, or perhaps get a better vocalist. Despite the shortcomings, I think this a great debut album from a band that obviously has talent, but just needs some readjustment."
