A joyful romp through the Brazilian choro repertoire

"This wonderful pairing of the late (but at that time, very young) Brazilian guitarist Raphael Rebello and the elder statesman of the 7-string guitar, Dino "7Cordas" offers up an exciting program of greatest hits from the choro repertoire, including classics by such giants of the genre as Ernesto Nazareth ("Odeon") and Pixinguinha ("1 X 0" and "Segura Ele"). The performances have a wonderfully loose and informal quality, and the beautiful bass line counterpoint provided by Dino contrasts excitingly with the passionate and technically dazzling melody readings of the late lamented Raphael Rebello. Dino and Raphael were joined on several tunes by percussion and cavaquinho, and the ensemble sound is great. If you enjoy rhythmically vibrant guitar music with interesting harmonic underpinnings and juicy melodies, you will want to pick this CD up."
Can't beat this one

"Listen to the great contrapuntal back-and-forth. On your first few times through, you'll be blown away by Raphael's technique, but when you've listened to it twenty times you'll keep listening to hear how Dino plays the 7 string. Wonderful music. 'Must have' for any guitar player."
Brazilian music at its best.
