"The 5 DuTones are a Chicago Doo Wop phenomenon of the late 50's early 60's. They recorded these songs for One-Derful Records with production and arrangements by Willie Henderson and Monk Higgins. "The Flea" was one of the first records by this group but it did not become a major hit. "Shake A Tail Feather" did. It was probably their biggest hit. Ike and Tina Turner covered it and the Du-Tones were forgotten. Well, here are the Five Du-Tones in 2004 on cd with recordings that have not been available for almost 50 years. Music lovers with true affinity for Doo Wop and soul music will flip out. Most of the Du-tones recordings are on this cd and the re-mastering job is very good. "Come Back Baby", "The Flea", "The Gouster","Darling, Please Change Your Mind", "We Want More", and the Woodbine Twine are all here. 5 or 6 songs are even stereo. This is Doo Wop Soul at its best. Buy this record. It is very soulful."
