2007 reissue of the eponymous debut album from late 1985 by the Lincolnshire quintet that attracted numerous positive critical reviews in the UK music press. 4,000,000 Telephones coalesced in late 1983 with a shared intention to experiment musically, but their ideas didn't catch fire with the public at time. The passage of time has remedied that situation. As Barry McIlheny wrote in the pages of Melody Maker in 1985, "...they burn with a rare intensity..". The band responds, "yes, we did, we know we did, we've got the scars to prove it!"
