No-fuss Mozart

"There are approximately two thousand cds (!) of recorded Mozart piano sonatas in the Amazon catalogue. Which to buy? Deciding can be bewildering. Uchida or Barenboim? Brendel or de la Roccha? Whose interpretation is definitive, the most Mozartean? Do you prefer your pianist individualistic and experimental, or conservative?
But if you just want Mozart in the background--purists would protest: Mozart is NOT muzak--and not have to deal with reviewers belaboring/bickering on which "legendary" pianist has pegged the BEST, most Mozartean interpretation, this is the disc for you.
Since the pianist is not some famous celebrity pianist, not a legend, her beautiful performance perhaps harkens to the time when Mozart was played in your house by your piano-loving parent, aunt, uncle, sibling, or cousin--not primarily in a formal "event" like a recital, and self-consciously recorded in a CD. It is simple, unfussy, but still beautifully Mozart.
